Alumni Gala Sets Record for Attendance
On Friday, February 22, alumni and friends gathered for the 2019 Alumni Gala at the UIS Student Union. Randall F. Dunn of Florida received the Alumni Achievement Award, and Dr. Larry Golden, Founding Director of the Illinois Innocence Project received the Alumni Distinguished Service Award.
The Gala was previously held off campus, but now the Student Union can comfortably accommodate crowds. At this year's event, the Student Union ballroom had space for 275 people (the largest recorded attendance at the gala), two buffet tables, a bar inside the ballroom, and a bar in the pre-function area.
Thank you so much, generous donors, for making this event and so many others at the Student Union possible.
